Welcome to the Stewart Tapestries web site, where you can find one-of-a-kind hand-woven tapestries for sale, information about hiring me to teach classes and workshops, or commissioning me to weave a unique piece for your home or office that will compliment your decor. Please visit my Portfolio pages for pieces that are available for purchase now, as well as sold works, to see what weaving style may suit your needs.

My style of imagery is realism. I enjoy weaving in different themes, and I have started working in 3-D, mostly with shaped pieces, but continue to develop work that will be free standing. Currently, all my works are wall hangings.

Tapestry weaving began for me in 1993 by following a self-teaching video, and I now teach locally and nationally. I have memberships with several weaving groups across the country and now in the U.K. Most of my commissioned pieces are in private collections, with one educational piece woven for the John & Mabel Ringling Museum in Sarasota FL. My work has appeared in national and international exhibits, winning several awards, including First Place in HGA's Small Expressions 2008.

I hope you enjoy visiting my web site, and if you have any problems with the site or have questions, please , or use the info on my Contacts page.
